I can't stand the inversions either -- ick. I haven't dealt with SAD, just some PPD, but I know where you're coming from. My SIL lives in the Northwest and has huge problems with it. I haven't talked to her about it in a while, but last I did, they were trying some light therapy.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I think awareness is so important and knowing you aren't alone makes a big difference too.

Jodi~I may have to take you up on that! I often need to make believe it is warm and sunny!

I am so sorry you get to deal with this. I think it gets most of us to some extent or another. My step dad had it so bad when we were growing up that he wouldn't come out of his bedroom. Not even to eat with our family. My mom made him his food and took it in to him. Growing up we didn't understand it and just thought he hated us. I am so glad there is more awareness now. It can be very debilitating. He still gets very SAD but knowledge of what is going on helps. Tanning helps & I have seen those special lights that are supposed to help at Costco.

You are always welcome to come to my house and we can make believe it is warm and sunny together :)

I'm so sorry you are struggling with this. I wonder if I have some problems with it too. I am just like you. I survive until spring and then I am outside as much as humanly possible. I may have to look into the light thing. That sounds like a good idea. I hope you find some things that work for you! If you get a light or find something that is really helpful, you should do a follow up blog. Hang in there!
