Great post! Sounds like y’all had great summers! I love summer! I don’t know that I could handle year round school because I do love it so much. I hope you and your kids enjoy every last second!

That is awful. i have a real problem with year round school for so many reasons. The main one is just like you said they grow up so fast and then they have to work. I enjoy the summers with my kids soo much and I think they learn a lot on our various outings. Kids just need to be kids!!

I love, love, love summer even as a mom. I still get excited for summer vacation and freedom from alarm clocks and all. Summer is good!!

Yay for summer! We did have some good times. I think about how much things have changed now and if we would have been able to be free to enjoy playing in the field in today’s world. Probably not. I am glad we were able to have so many adventures as kids. A few years ago I went back to that house and looked at the field and was amazed at how small that outcropping of rocks really was. It felt like we were worlds away from home, but it really wasn’t that far. It is funny how perspectives change.
You are a fun mom so I am sure there will be plenty of activities for you guys over the next six weeks. I hope their break is fun! We will have to plan a few outings.
