Ever have one of those moments with your kids? You know, the real head scratchers that make you think, “What the…?”
I don’t know about you, but I have them all the time. I’m lucky enough to be able to share those moments with my sister, Sonora, over at Twinfinity.
We are officially labeling this fun little meme as What the…? Week.
We decided that it would be fun to share these moments with more than just each other. And it doesn’t have to just be related to your kids. Simply share anything that made you go, “What the…?” It could be something that happened to you or something that you came across in a book or movie, etc. etc.
This week we will each post one so you get the idea, then next week we will have a Linky up, and hopefully a fancy little button to go with it!
We will open the linky with our posts on Friday and leave it open all week. When you have a What the…? moment, at any time during the week, you can link up and join in!
Just a reminder that our blogs are family places so we ask that you keep your posts clean.
Here’s mine from this week to give you the idea:
What the…?
#1
I have a huge pet peeve. It involves small children leaving their shoes all over the house. Then, at that magical moment that I declare that it is time to go, there is much gnashing and whaling of teeth. It’s not as though there is no organized place to put them, they just choose not to.
It drives. Me. Bonkers.
To this I say, “What the…? Just put them in the dang basket then you’ll be able to find them any time you need them!!!”
Apparently, that is far too simple a task.

Now, this one is much cuter than the last one. This particular moment is brought to you by my 1 year old. She’s freakin’ adorable. She has a lovey that she takes everywhere. Her lovey is her blanket. She will put her blanket over her head and just sit, waiting for someone to take it off and shout “Boo” at her. Then she giggles.
Her most recent adaptation to this game is to put the blanket over her head and wander around until she runs into something. Then she falls on her tushie and giggles. It’s hilarious to watch, but still leaves me thinking, “What the…?” Where does she come up with this stuff?

Hahaha! I love the pictures of E with her blanket over her head. That is too funny. Children can be such a mystery sometimes.

Too funny! And I can really relate to the ‘where are my shoes’ quandry….very frustrating when you need to be out the door to an appointment right away! We finally solved the problem by building a bench in the laundry room, and when we come in, the kids take off their shoes and throw them under the bench. The only problem is when there are too many shoes under there…it can be a little difficult to open the door to the garage. LOL. TGIF! @hotcookinchick
How fun! I have “what the…?” moments a a lot. Now I just need to remember to post them.

My boys all have “Blue B’s.” My sister a couple years ago thought it would be great to get them another “B.” Needless to say now I have to keep track of 6 instead of 3. (shaking my head)

I love this post. Your daughter with the blanket over her head is just adorable. I love that age!
And the shoes in the hall way instead of the basket or closet. I still get that from my 20 year old! Drives me totally bonkers too…still.
Shoes are also our homes arch-enemy! they are all over the house! At the front door, by the end of the week the shoe basket looks like it’s thrown-up all over the place. Once a week I make the dreaded, put the shoes away, trip upstairs with the basket!

I can so relate to the shoes! It seems I am the only one in this house who knows how to put them away! lol
Your daughter is adorable!

This is the best idea! That thought runs through my head so freaking often! I love the pictures!
When we built our house, we added a mud room. Everyone has their own drawer, cubby and hook. Their drawers are full. Of unmatched shoes, unmatched shin guards, rocks, dirt, overdue library books. It’s amazing. These people…..
