What a fantastic piece! It's incredible to think of "what would have happened" isn't it? And somehow...you just know...you like it better this way. God is good like that.

I was sad too. I think wondering "What if" is natural, but in the end, I wouldn't trade my life for anything.

Even though we'd never trade a second with our kids, sometimes you can't help but wonder "what if." Great piece of writing!

Great story...very easy to relate to (I think you're right...we've all had the "what if" moments). Very well-written and a great twist on the prompt!

I love your take on the prompt!
I think we all wonder what might have changed if we'd taken a different path. It is scary that we just get the one chance to make the best of whatever roads we choose.

Wow, what a great take on the prompt. Love how you examined the life that you might have had. I was sad for you the minute you didn't hear those little footsteps outside the bathroom door.

This is really a great angle on the prompt; we all have those "What If" kind of days, and I really enjoyed how you wrote this.

This was a fun read and clever use of the prompt. I am older now and my children are grown, but I remember hiding in the bathroom, only sometimes I was crying!

I liked how you left us guessing what happens next in this story. Perhaps another prompt will let you finish it. You could make it like the TV series, Fringe, where there two world with the same people, but their lives are lived differently; in one world some people have children while in the other they don't. Just my two cents:~)

I enjoyed this story very much!
