I’ve had these thoughts a million times since I started this blog. I think it would be fun to have a ton of readers and a really great blog. But, I just can’t seem to find the time to do it. Not and have a life outside of the computer.
Mack asked me the other night to take the computer off my lap so he could sit with me. And, he insists on me putting it down when he needs a hug. That’s made me rethink the time I spend on the computer.(And I’m not visiting tons of blogs or tweeting that often, I didn’t think) Since the boys are at school all day, I kind of rely on the computer for company. I don’t want the computer to become an extension of myself. And as much as I enjoy interacting with my blog friends, I don’t want it to squeeze out the people outside my computer. Especially my husband and kids.
Balance is sooo hard! Great post!

It all just takes too much time and dedication, doesn’t it? For me it’s about the writing too and the release. My blog is for my son (and my sanity). I put a lot of pressure on myself to post 5-6 times a week and I do get caught up in the numbers… but this was a nice reminder to unplug once in a while and just be. Thank you!

What a great post! I only have one kiddo and sometimes I find that I spend too much time on the computer or my phone and not nearly enough with her. Thanks for the reminder that they’re only little for a short time!

Impressive, right?! I have no idea how they balance it all. I’m impressed by you. I just have one little one right now and I find balancing life and blogging too much most of the time.
