I sat here staring at the cursor for about half an hour. I’ve looked through pictures and old posts. I even tried to write a post using some ideas my sister gave me this morning.
And you know what I realized? It’s ok to say “NO”. It’s ok to take a break, and often times, the only person putting pressure on me to do things is, well, me.
As a mom to almost seven children, I have had to say “No” to many things over the years. I can’t be in their classrooms all the time. I can’t volunteer like I would like to. There are limitations to my energy, time and quite frankly, brain power.
And you know what, that’s ok.
So today, I am going to say “No” to this post so that I can manage my mayhem in some other way. So that I can take what little energy I have left and use it to tend my crew.
And hopefully, a week’s worth of thoughts will give me Tip #10.
What should you to say “No” to?

This is such an important lesson for mom’s to learn. Sometimes you just need to say no and that’s ok. I hope you have a relaxing (or as relaxing as you can manage) day!!
Good for you! It’s important to take care of the mommie for a change–we’ll look forward to next week.
I think THIS is a tip. That it’s okay to say no and take a break when you need to do, instead of doing something out of obligations that you really don’t have time or desire to do.

This is one of my favorite posts from you yet! Possibly because it’s been the theme of my week, learning how to say “no”. I’m such a “yes” person and the pressure to “be” or “do” is sometimes so overwhelming, and to think…I only have 1 kid and she’s 8 months old! Thank you for this post. Thank you for being honest.
