Because you use the wind so much throughout this piece, I think using a different word here would make this sentence have more power, more imagery. You could use butterflies, snow, tumbleweed, many other words here and give it a little more strength. Again, I really enjoyed this piece, and the ending is sad. it really is hard to help an addict.
