GREAT TENSION:~) I felt my way with this woman down the stairs and into the mysterious dark below. I loved how I felt as she opened each door. You are really good at creating atmosphere. I must admit I feel a bit like Runnermom-Jen about the hoarding, but you kept me off-balance with the tension. It felt more like something scary was about to happen and it wasn’t the boxes falling down.

When I was young, I used to read Mary Roberts Rinehart and this story reminds me of her style. She used to keep me up late at night when I was a girl. I could hardly put her books down. Well done:`)

I think you did a great job with this and I love the part where you are describing the staircase and the idea behind her being there at a dinner or some sort of function. That is a great way to introduce the beginning of the story and her to the house. I think this is a story that needs to be a novel because there is so much meaning to all of the details, etc. Its a great story and a great start and I think you need to keep going!
