I HATE the middle of the night wake-ups. Hate them. Brad has to do 90% of them, even though they’re few and far between. I just can’t get my brain to function at 3am. The only time that I snap into it is when she’s screaming that “I’m in pain and I need my mom” scream, then I’m up and at ‘em. But, I wet myself? No, that’s your dad. =)

What perfect timing for this post. We are on a 3 week stretch of middle of the night wake ups from some or all of the kids. They are all taking turns being sick.

With 7 and the way you handled this, you’re a good mama. Sometimes a child just needs to know you care and would really appreciate some kinds words; no matter how old they are. I don’t think you would’ve said what your mom said. I would have given her a hard time too for saying that to me. Sorry, I should really congratulate you for having repented. You’re a good daughter.

Oh boy this is true. It really is all or nothing. Last night, thankfully, I didn’t see anyone in the middle of the night. But the night before it was three of my four. Since I had the twins I have said that no one needs to do sleep deprivation torture, they just need to give them several babies for a few weeks.
