I didn’t even know there was such a thing as window markers. I will definitely have to try them out on our next trip. I love all your tips and I will have to try out a few. We go on many road trips and a few things that help me out is letting them pick out their own activities, getting some surprise gifts at the dollar store to give them along the way, and letting them play with my iPad. I strap the iPad to my headrest and the kids can do so many things with it. The kids can play games, watch movies, or watch TV through my provider DISH Network. With the Sling Adapter hooked up to my receiver I can access all our subscription channels from anywhere I am. The kids can watch all their favorite shows live from anywhere we can get a Wi-Fi connection. A co-worker at DISH also told me I could now access our Blockbuster@home service to watch movies on my iPad. They love this and it keeps them quiet for hours.

Having seen your bag of tricks in action I can attest to what a life saver they were! Especially loved that the bubbles kept all 12 of our kids in line--infants to nearly teenager! I love traveling with you!

Love these ideas. Every year we make road trips to Reunions and it can get so boring for the kids. They're a little bit older but still can benefit from your ideas. Thank you.

I bow down to your brilliance. Seriously. I didn't even know they had window markers. What a great idea. I can only imagine how much work ten hours in the car would be with seven children, but I can see how much better it would go having things like this for them to do. Oh and the catheter comment made me laugh. Great post!
