Summer is rapidly coming to a close. The children have been back to school for a while now, but the weather has been gorgeous, almost allowing me to forget that fall is on the way. This summer has been super busy and quite memorable. So here’s ten things “Summer 2011″ before fall takes hold. I love to read them, write them and even play games that involve words. But lately, I can’t seem to find many words to write. Usually I have so many words floating around in my head that I can’t spit them out fast enough. They require my attention and if I [...] Saturday was my 6 year old’s last soccer game. I silently sang Hallelujah on my way to her game. I came prepared this time, bringing a shade tent-like thing for me to sit under with the baby. We also had to bring treats, so it looked like I packed the whole house and took [...] My baby is magical. He sleeps all night long. I am telling you, he is magical. And all you other mothers of teeny infants are allowed all the jealousy you can muster. I’d be jealous of me too. He has been sleeping from 9p.m. till around 6 or 7a.m. for five nights now. So [...] I hear baby boy move and start to grunt in his bed nearby. I become conscious quickly, as only a new mother would. He begins to cry and I roll out of bed, glancing at the clock as I go to pick him up. It’s been almost exactly three hours since he last ate. [...] They say that newborns don’t smile. They say it’s just gas. I wonder if “they” have ever had children. My new baby may not be smiling and giggling at anything but angels, but he is definitely smiling and giggling. However, on the off chance it is just gas, it’s the [...] I couldn’t help myself. I had to post just a couple more pictures of my beautiful boy! And I wanted to thank everyone for their congrats and well wishes. I feel a little like a sailor still trying to find his sea legs, but we are doing well over all. Happy Wednesday! Who [...] On May 5th at 3 a.m., the most wonderful early Mother’s Day gift arrived safely into my arms. My little big boy weighed 9lbs 12oz and was 21 inches long. We have marveled at our miracle and kissed his head a thousand times. We have been amazed at our little bundle, [...]  |
